- Mr. Staufert graduated as a Certified Public Accountant from the Tepeyac University. He also completed his master's degree in hotel finance and tourism markets in the distance learning program at Cornell. He has two postgraduate degrees, one in senior hotel management and the other in senior management with the Tecnológico de Monterrey.
He developed his professional career in the hotel industry for 27 years, during which he worked mainly at Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), in 5 countries and 7 cities in Mexico.
In 2005, he won the Torchbearer Award as the best hotel in Latin America of the Intercontinental Hotels Group chain. In 2 editions; 2008 and 2012 he was elected "General Manager" of the year of Intercontinetal within IHG Hotels and Resorts.
He is currently the technical secretary of the Tourism Trust of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area; General Manager of the GuadalajaraGuadalajara brand and is a member of the worldwide board of BestCities Global Alliance.
El Licenciado Staufert se graduó como Contador público por la Universidad Tepeyac. A su vez hizo su maestría en finanzas hoteleras y mercados turísticos en el programa a distancia en Cornell. Tiene 2 posgrados, uno en alta administración Hotelera y el otro en alta administración con el Tecnológico de Monterrey.
Desarrolló su carrera profesional en la hotelería durante 27 años, en los cuales trabajó principalmente en Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), en 5 países y 7 ciudades de la República Mexicana.
En el año 2005, gano el Torchbearer Award como el mejor hotel de la Latinoamérica de la cadena de Intercontinental Hotels Group. En 2 ediciones; 2008 y 2012 fue elegido “Gerente General” del año de Intercontinetal dentro de IHG Hoteles and Resorts.
Actualmente es secretario técnico del Fideicomiso de Turismo de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara; director general de la marca GuadalajaraGuadalajara, y es miembro del consejo mundial de BestCities Global Alliance.
